This was one of two collaborations between DDRM and the Price Excel Legacy REIT. This unique piece of property is sandwiched between the existing Disney attractions in Anaheim and Disney’s future 3rd Gate. DDRM obtained entitlements consisting of 1,600 hotel rooms (four hotels), 190 timeshare units, and 500,000 square feet of retail, dining and entertainment. The entitlements were originally opposed by Disney, but DDRM managed to work through the problems and received unanimous approval from the City Council. DDRM sold its interest in the project to another development group in 2002.
